Dover Daytrip

Dover, DE, March 28: We stopped first at an Amish supermarket, Bylers, and then at Spence's Bazaar:

Then, on to the Biggs Museum. It's like a mini Winterthur with 18th and 19th century art and decorative arts from the Delaware Valley. There's a Gilbert Stuart, a Sully and most of the Peales!

Spring Antiques Show

March 7: Albert organized an outing to the DC Spring Antiques Show at the convention center. The show attracted dealers from up and down the eastern seaboard, from the west coast and a surprising number from the EU. But with great uncertainty as to the actual value of anything and not knowing what things would be worth next week, let alone next year, sales were slim.
