A Day in Annapolis

Annapolis, MD, October 22, 2009: We started with breakfast pretzel rolls at the Pennsylvania Dutch Farmers' Market and proceeded to the tourist sites. The first stop was the Maryland State House, overseen by U.S. revolutionary hero Baron de Kalb (left) and U.S. Chief Justice Roger B. Taney (right):

The plaque on the floor of the old Senate chamber is where George Washington resigned his commission when the Continental Congress was meeting in the Maryland State House:
