May 19: We attended an Evening of Piobaireachd, the classical music of the Great Highland Bagpipe, in the Elizabethan Theatre of the Folger Shakespeare Library. L. Collier Hyams, professor of arts, music and theater at Georgetown University, spoke on the history of piobaireachd.
