Olamendi's is a wonderful Mexican restaurant along the Pacific Coast Highway between San Clemente and Dana Point.

Flight to California

Midweek flights from DC to California are much more reasonable than those near the weekends. Continental to Newark was mostly a shuttle for flight attendants and the Newark terminal was mostly flight attendants but they almost managed to fill the non-stop to Orange County/Santa Ana/John Wayne. The east was cool and drizzly but the cloud cover broke midway across Kansas and the west was almost clear. There was a forest fire in Arizon (above left), interesting landscapes and, in the end, the Pacific.

5720 Huntington Parkway

In 2005 Dr. Ross sold his Bethesda 1950s suburban split-level with 3 bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, eat in kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, rec room, and 2-car garage; now in it's full four stories "Arts & Craft" with 6 bedroom, 5-1/2 baths, 2-car garage and over 6,000 sq. ft. of living space!
