Baltimore Farmers Market

Baltimore, Aug. 17: The Baltimore Farmers Market was jam packed when we arrived, but we didn't let the crowds deter us. Summer produce was at its height: heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, beans, squashes, cantaloupes, summer apples, peaches, nectarines, bi-colored sweet corn, mushrooms, bedding plants, etc. We stood in line for the shelled beans: black beans, lima beans, crowder peas and black eyed peas. We tasted the various dill pickles and devoured the fried mushrooms and the mini donuts.

It's almost impossible to be in Baltimore and forgo a sandwich at Attman's:
Mollie was happy to have us back home.
