Asian Festival

This Asian Festival in Northern Virginia pales by comparison with either of the Thai Songkran festivals in Maryland. It may be a monument to intra-Asian peace and solidarity as it incorporates multiple cultures from seven Asian nations, however it is in a poor location for a festival. Located across Baren Cameron Avenue from Lake Anne village center, the site has little parking nearby and the booths are spread out along the narrow roads in a recreational park. It's more like a strip mall than a festival.









There was food: Thai mussel omelet (l) and sticky rice in bamboo:
