Savannah 2010

Savannah, GA, September 4, 2010: I-95 was mostly uneventful. There was the usually heavy traffic in Northern Virginia where the commonwealth refuses to build adequate roads and the insanity of North Carolina where the interstate speed limit changes every 60 miles as if by local option. Most Savannah bound folk exit I-95 five miles shy of the Georgia state line and take US 17 through the Low Country to the Talmadge Bridge across the Savannah River and into the city:



Savannah welcomed with heat, humidity and Spanish Moss:



On Wilmington Island, we were greeted by plumeria in extravagant bloom:
and the new cat Charlie, who's still learning the rules:
