We're as Corny as Kansas in August

July 28, 2010: Once the extreme heat broke and we got some rain, the garden surged:
The lilies seem to bloom one at a time, and inexplicably our Shasta daisy also is blooming:












A fly on the coleus:
This year we have a row of sweet corn immediately in front of the porch:
The "feral" tuxedo cat that we call "Spock" (we think he once had a home and has been abandoned):
