From Chapel Hill to Pittsboro
April 17, 2010: In the 21st century, the only indicator of civilization is Trader Joe's; here's the one in Chapel Hill, NC:
On southward lies Fearrington Village, a North Carolina dairy farm turned into The Hamptons.

Further south is Pittsboro, the county seat of Chatham County. Pittsboro's celebrated courthouse recently burned; the Confederate memorial still stands and the courthouse will rise again:
Pittsboro's number one tourist attraction is the S&T Soda Shoppe:
Just up the street from the ice cream parlor, we looked into woodwright's shop and, lo and behold, it was PBS's celebrated woodwright Roy Underhill in his new woodworking school!
