Sarah P. Duke Gardens

Durham, NC, April 17, 2010: The Sarah P. Duke Gardens comprise 55 acres next to the medical center on the west campus of Duke University. There are four gardens: an Asiatic arboretum that surrounds a small lake, a native plant garden amidst a piney woods, the terrace gardens which flow down a slope providing layers of color and the show gardens surrounding the visitors center and gift shop. The gardens radiate from a central circular bed.
