Baltimore Farmers' Market

Baltimore, MD, August 23, 2009: Baltimore's Sunday morning farmers market below the Jones Falls Expressway at Saratoga and Gay streets has become way too popular. Clearly Baltimoreans are in great need of more neighborhood farmers markets. However, the produce, plants and food still outshine the crowds, so we plow right in.

Nobody nowhere can beat the mini donuts made right in front of your eyes:






















Mushroom "fritters" are the other great delicacy in this market. Sliced mushrooms are dipped in a thin batter, deep fried and served over mesclun and feta cheese with homemade hot sauce. Yum!
