Christmas--DC to OC

Our Delta flight departed National Airport shortly after 6:40 am on Christmas Day flying up over the Potomac for a splendid view of the Mall.

We saw these bridges over the Ohio as we made our approach into Cincinnati:

The center of the country was snow covered, including here along the Missouri River near Atchison, Kansas:

The snow emphasized the contour terracing of the fields below:








Another jet passed by--a bit too close Bill thought--somewhere over the Great Plains:







We had a White Christmas layover in Salt Lake City:
