150 Feet Underneath the Sea

November 8: The Lahaina Light (1917) is the successor to the first lighted navigation aid in Hawaii ordered by King Kamehameha in 1840 (below l). The cruiseship Pride of Aloha was anchored off of Lahaina with tenders ferrying passengers to and fro (below r).

Our entire crew sailed out of Lahaina and transshipped to the Atlantis submarine which descended 150 feet for a close up view of the life on the reef. The Atlantis surfacing (below l):
