The Remains of the Day

May 25: We had a southwestern lunch in the Sky City Cafe at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art before walking through their galleries: the Taos school of painters, Modernists, contemporary artists, artifacts of native Americans, a special exhibit on Yosemite, and a special exhibit on the black cowboy in western films. It seemed awfully far east for such a good western museum! "The Greeting" by George Carlson stands at the entrance and the Central Canal is on the other side:
